Know Your Bowl Game Tailgating Policies
Thinking about heading to the Rose Bowl to cheer on Ohio State? Maybe want to do some pre-game warmup in the parking lot? Better leave that giant tailgating tent at home. The Rose Bowl doesn’t allow individual tents at the stadium:
There is no official area for general tailgating at the Rose Bowl Game presented by Citi and the Citi BCS National Championship. There are no open flames, individual tents or pop-ups permitted for guest tailgating.
Most bowl games make their official tailgating rules available on their websites. Most have the usual language about no open flames or getting too hammered to walk, but a few do have some specific points about what you can or cannot bring to your tailgate party. If you are planning to do some tailgating before your bowl game of choice this year, take a few minutes and check out the official rules for the game venue. If they don’t have anything posted, you should probably call. At least know what you might get busted for once you get there.
