We gave you a few breakfasts for the grill a couple of weeks ago. If you want to do a bit of experimenting, here are some tasty tailgating breakfast recipes to give a try.

Recipe #4 – Tasty Grilled Eggs and Canadian Bacon

For a really interesting breakfast treat, take some muffin pan and use cooking spray on the insides. Take some thin slices of Canadian bacon and put on the very bottom of the pan. In a bowl mix together ¼ milk, pepper, salt, chopped onion, chopped pepper, and beaten eggs. Take a larger aluminum pan and put cover the bottom with water, then place your muffin pan inside. Cover with foil and then grill on low until your eggs are set. Remove from muffin pans and serve for a tasty dish.

Recipe #5 – Grilled Fruit

Another wonderful idea is to have grilled fruit as a breakfast dish on the grill. Take a combination of firm fruits, such as apples, pears, pineapple, bananas, and more. Put fruit on skewers and then brush butter on all sides. Sprinkle with some cinnamon and a bit of nutmeg and then grill over medium heat. When lightly grilled, remove and serve warm. The fruit is also great with grilled French toast.

Recipe #6 – Grilled French Toast

For this recipe you’ll need a grill plate. Spray the grill plate liberally with cooking spray. In a bowl mix eggs with milk and a few dashes of cinnamon. Take pieces of white bread and dip into the egg mixture. Place on grill plate and grill toast over medium heat. Flip toast and grill the other side until done. Serve with syrup or grilled fruit.

Something going wrong can ruin everything for you. To help you out, here are a few important tailgating safety tips you need to remember.

Tip #1 – Cook Everything Thoroughly

One of the big dangers of tailgating is foods that get spoiled. The last thing you want is everyone going home with food poisoning. Make sure that everything is cooked thoroughly. A meat thermometer may come in handy if you’re grilling to make sure meats get to the right internal temperature to be safely eaten.

Tip #2 – Keep Cold Foods Cold

Of course, the cold foods can go bad as well if they aren’t kept cold. Make sure that you take coolers that are well insulated and use cold packs or a lot of ice to ensure that the food stays cold for your tailgating party.

Tip #3 – Keep Plenty of Water on Hand

Sometimes the sun can get pretty hot, so you need to make sure that you keep plenty on water on hand. Everyone needs to stay hydrated to avoid heat stroke or dehydration problems that will ruin the day.

There are many advantage of trailer hitch grills. One of them is that instead of being limited to the amount of space or size of you portable grill, you can easily bring a full sized regular barbeque grill, as well as many other accessories with you, like your ice chest, or an extra table. All of this you can attach to your trailer hitch.

With Trailer hitch grills, there is no need to even detach your grill to use it, or even to put your tail gate down. Many models have a swiveling arm, which opens up to a ninety degree angle, or even more, so you can open up your grill, have plenty of space to cook and entertain with the tailgate down. This makes them ideal for camping, foot ball tailgate parties, etc. You have your ice chest close to you, all of your accessories, and when you’re finished, you just pull up the leg, swing the arm back into position, and lock it into place.

These trailer hitch grills are often well built. They are the same high quality grills you would expect to find in your own back yard. They can be connected to regular five gallon propane tanks, or even have standard charcoal. They can also come with all the bells and whistles you would find in large models, with grilling racks, temperature gauges, and even table space for condiments.

You may think to yourself that trailer hitch grills cost a lot of money. In truth, they don’t really cost that much more than a quality grill you would find at many retail outlets. They range in price from around $400 to $600, depending on the bells and whistles you add to it. As you can see, they are quite comparable in cost, yet instead of being stuck in your back yard, you can bring them just about anywhere.

Passing the Ball No Hands Allowed

All you need is a couple footballs for this game. Get that team spirit going by having some fun with the football. Divide everyone up into two different teams. Each team should make a line. Give the first person in the line of each team a football. The goal is to pass it through the line to the end without anyone using their hands. The team that completes this first wins.

Fun Word Scrambles

For the time when your stomach is just too full to move, fun word scrambles make great tailgating games you can all play sitting down. Before the party scramble up sports words and make copies for everyone. See who can unscramble all the sports words the fastest. Just make sure you have pens or pencils on hand for everyone if you choose this game.

Other fun games you can take along with you include badminton, croquet, and other easy outdoor games.

Many people enjoy breakfast foods and you’ll actually find that breakfast foods aren’t that tough to grill. Why not enjoy your favorite breakfast foods next time you go tailgating. Here are a few great ideas for the grill that everyone will be sure to find tasty.

Ham or Pork Chops

Both ham and pork chops make a great breakfast meat that you can cook on the grill for something a bit different. They can be grilled up and eaten along with eggs. Even some sausages can be grilled for a nice breakfast.

Egg Ideas

Believe it or not you can even enjoy making some eggs on the grill as well. One simple way that you can cook eggs is to take some foil and fold it so it makes a little boat. Use some oil or cooking spray on the foil and then crack eggs into the boat. You can do individual boats for each egg to fry up some eggs easily.

Hash Browns and Veggies

If you need something to go with your eggs and breakfast meat, some hash browns with veggies are easy to make up. Wrap up some diced potatoes or hash browns along with some chopped peppers and onions in some aluminum foil. Before closing the foil, add some olive oil and a bit of seasoning to your own test and toss to coat everything. Then put on the top grate of the grill and cook for about 30 minutes or until fully cooked.

You can make a full course breakfast easily on the grill. Instead of burgers next time, consider using these tasty breakfast grilling ideas for your tailgate party.

After all, it will ruin the party if you end up forgetting an essential item. Here are just a few of the items that you’ll want to have on hand. Follow this checklist to make sure you take everything to have a great time.

The food and items to cook with are some of the most important items to put on that tailgate party checklist. Make sure you take a cooler along to keep cold items cool. If you plan on grilling, don’t forget the grill and the charcoal or gas for the grill. The right utensils for cooking are important, and make sure you have utensils for serving and eating the food too.

Plenty of drinks are essential. Everyone needs to stay hydrated. Take some water and other drinks you enjoy. Some napkins are definitely going to come in handy, as are plates and cups. Have some trash bags on hand too to make sure you clean up your mess. Blankets to sit on, some chairs, or a table with a tablecloth are great additions.

A few other items you may want to take along with you include a tent, ponchos in case it rains, games, sunblock, and plenty of ice.

It comes with a dual set of stainless-steel burners giving 9,000 BTUs of power each for a total of 18,000 BTUs of power that can heat the grill very quickly, and keep it warm enough that food can cook to the appropriate temperatures without burning too quickly.

On most grills igniting the flame can be difficult. Since this is a propane based model, you have the benefit of a push button ignition that will allow you to start the grill and heat it up. It is important to note that unlike most gas grills, this model does require a 1 pound disposable propane gas tank.

The legs on the Blue Rhino Tailgate grill are collapsible. This allows you to store it in more confined places, and pull it out faster when it is time to hit the tailgate. The legs remain sturdy when fully extended, and there won’t be a problem with it being easily knocked over, which will prove to be beneficial to those who have small children. Best of all, this grill is setup in a matter of minutes and pops back down in just seconds. This allows you to get it locked down so you can head out to the big game faster.

Unlike most grills, this tailgate grill has a porcelain grill grid. This helps it to remain lightweight, and provide an excellent cooking surface. It also leads to making an easy to clean surface since porcelain tends to be none stick. They are however a little more fragile than normal grates, so use extra care when you store them.

Attached to the grill are two side shelves that can hold all your basic grilling needs. From the condiments that are going to hit the hot dogs to the utensils you will need for serving, this will prove to be an essential part of your grill, and should be kept clean at all times.

Like most grills, this unit does come with a 1 year limited warranty. If there are any problems with your grill during the first year, Blue Rhino will assist you in exchanging the parts that are needed to fix it. With their history of craftsmanship this shouldn’t be too much of an issue.

Blue Rhino Tailgate Grills are a great addition to your tailgate party. When you head out to buy them know that you are getting a solid, quality product. They will last quite a bit of time, and since they are sturdy, they can withstand the pregame excitement.
